ANDREJ ĐERKOVIĆ
Naive / 2026
One of the central Geneva intersection Rond-point de Plainpalais has been covered with posters of Andrej Derkovic on the occasion of the G7 summit in French border town of Evian and the global protests against it, that are simultaneously organized in Geneva.
The work “Naive”, which is based vice-versa on the name oft he summit host city and the globally famous water brand oft he same name, explicitly referes tot he understanding (acceptance) oft he times we live in – packaged water, just like packaged freedom. This visual intervention in public space, like a morror, leads us all to reflect on our own understanding (reading) of everydaysocio-moral penance, and at the same time confronts individually representatives of all social categories, both political and civil, and leads them (us) to accept and aknowledge our own mistakes that depend pn our individuality, illustrated precisely through that NAIVENESS (innocence, simplicity or inexperience) of reading our everyday life.
